‘The Tonight Show’ host Conan O’Brien plugs TROLL 2!

December 8th, 2009

On the December 7th installment of ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,’ a new segment was introduced. O’Brien claimed himself to be ‘The New Oprah’ and took some time out of his show to recommend movies to the audience, as Oprah does with books on her show. And, naturally, Conan chose the Best Worst Movie of all time!

Now we make it our mission to get George Hardy on ‘The Tonight Show’ to plug ‘Best Worst Movie’! A special thanks to Conan and the writers of ‘The Tonight Show,’ which you can catch weeknights on NBC at 11:35/10:35c

AFI FEST: Best Worst Movie Invades Los Angeles on Halloween!

October 22nd, 2009

After much demand, ‘Best Worst Movie’ will be having its Los Angeles premiere as part of the highly prestigious AFI FEST! We couldn’t be more excited! AFI has programmed the film in two categories, the first being in Alt. Cinema:

“Cinema is in a process of redefinition, as the medium shape-shifts and explodes in front of our eyes. This is not an ‘after dark’ section, or a ‘midnight’ section: It instead presents a series of challenges, excitements and even provocations.”

The second is as part of AFI FEST’s special 2009 Halloween Programming:

“Rollicking cult movie worship and Ozploitation lead the way in our celebration of Halloween at AFI FEST this year,” added AFI FEST Senior Programmer Lane Kneedler.  “We are thrilled to be embracing fringe filmmaking and alternative cinema once again as core components of our festival. When audiences come to Hollywood and Highland on Saturday night, we will deliver an unforgettable Halloween experience.”

The film will be playing at the legendary Mann’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. & Highland Ave. in Hollywood, home of the 2009 AFI FEST.

We are SO excited, in fact, that virtually ALL of the cast & crew will be in attendance! Expect to see director Michael Paul Stephenson, subjects George Hardy, Darren Ewing and Jason Steadman, directors of photography Carl Indriago and Katie Graham, editor Andrew Matthews, composer Bobby Tahouri, the producers, and many more to be announced! This will surely be a Halloween to remember!

Advanced comp tickets are sadly no longer available, but there will be a rush standby line, and you can always purchase an AFI FEST Patron Pass to ensure your attendance. We hope to see you there!
